Today, one year later,
I think of the day you said
that things had changed.
I think of the way you spoke,
how sunlight drifted
across your face.
Particles of the air
moved to your will,
focused and hurled me
down to the earth.

A. C. Hardy is a pharmacist with a passion for writing poetry and plays. His work has appeared in various publications, including Kakalak Anthology of Carolina Poets, ByLine Magazine, and The Anthology of New England Writers. Mr. Hardy resides in Harrisburg, North Carolina and is a member of Writers’ Group of the Triad, Charlotte Writers’ Club, and Dramatists Guild of America.
