Walking the LineAnya Russian

So we are reduced to routine transactions?

its same steady ordinance, our perspiration continuing

Anya Russian is a poet and dance artist from Greensboro, North Carolina. Her poetry grapples with the limitations of understanding the wavering boundaries between people and their environment, cultures, and oneself. In 2010 she received the Poet Laureate Award from the North Carolina Poetry Society. Her poetry has been published in “Pinesong,” “Nazim Hikmet Poetry Festival (2010),” and most recently in the “International Poetry Review.” Her first chapbook of poetry is forthcoming from Unicorn Press in 2012.
