The County LibraryWalt Pilcher

On the shelves and on the floor,
There’s comfy chairs and a whole lot more,
And you can smoke outside the door.
There’s books on tape and DVDs
Down at the County Library.

Listen here:

Walt Pilcher wrote parody radio commercials at age eleven, foreshadowing a career in consumer products marketing. He moonlighted as a fiction and song writer, publishing a story in the first issue of Galileo magazine and satire in The Worm Runner’s Digest. He was a contributing editor of In-Store Marketing by Michael Wahl and an editor and first-reader of More than We Can Imagine by Rev. Dick Robinson. He is a member of WGOT, the Greensboro Playwrights’ Forum and NC Writers’ Network and an alumnus of writing classes at the Greensboro School of Creativity and UNCG.
